Series poster for the Amedeo Modigliani Art Collection SDeries

Introducing the Art Collection Series. The Amedeo Modigliani – Portraits in New Light collection invites you to explore portraiture not just as art, but as a reflection of emotion, identity, and transformation. Inspired by the soulful styles of Amedeo Modigliani, this novel exhibition reimagines the human face through light, introspection, and personal storytelling.

For example, Modigliani's original works capture the people of the early 1900s—their society, workers, arts, occupations, and home environments. His keen observation describes both emotionally and factually the identities of the sitters through their poses, eyes, and elongated noses. The moods, aspirations, and issues of the early 1900s are reflected in Modigliani’s brushstrokes, lines, colors, clothing, and backgrounds.
My personal goal in reimagining his art is to capture these same people with a transformative intent. Instead of dimly lit backgrounds, drab clothing colors, and impersonal, lifeless eyes, the sitters are entirely transformed into contemporary individuals. Such juxtaposition of concepts invites emotionalism, identity in a timeline of progressive movement, and a platform for social reflection and connection to Modigliani in my reality.
The program is inclusive with these components:
• An announcement poster for general public distribution to libraries, schools, and banks, for example
• Series poster of Modigliani redrawn in his personal style and topped off with textured digital imaging
• A discussional prompts self/group study guide for workshops
• An Art Collection presentation folder with five 8.5x11-inch portrait prints
• A Collector's Prints ordering catalog containing over forty reimagined portraits
• And more!
